DAVID lives in Los Angeles with his Fiance and excellent German Dachshund.

Most of these images are taken with a Nikon D700 digital camera.

I like to use older Nikkor lenses which means the camera has to be operated with every setting on manual.

All colour correction is done after the fact in photoshop, usually not too much, I try to get as much as possible in camera.

I shoot full size RAW files for maximum detail, and later after colour correction and image process is finished, I downsize for internet posting.

I started taking photographs for on set reference.

This will be used later for colour grading of the current film, but I have found it to be a great source of documenting the weeks of hard work and a great outlet for personal imaging.

I post only a small fraction of the work recorded and go through many 4 and 16GB Compact Flash cards.

Hoping to put out a book next year, in the meantime I will keep posting here.

Everything from framing composition, lighting to colouring is informed from my time directing film.
