  I first met Dave a few months ago at a local area Flickr Meetup Group meetup and I was immediately struck by his knowledge of photography. I'll refrain from picking on his choice in camera brands :)
  
  Since this first face-to-face meeting, Dave and I have been out several times to get a few (hundred) shots in. I can tell you this: if there's something in the sky, he can find a way to photograph it. It might take a few trips out in some cases, but he'll keep at it until he gets it. Take lightning, for example. He said he'd been trying for twenty(?) years to get a lightning shot. Now he's had 5 great lightning photos in the last month.
  
  Sunsets and birds are two more of his primary subjects after storms. Once again, once he sets his mind to it, he's going to get stunning shots of his desired subject.
  
  Last but not least, Dave has one helluva sense of humor....almost as warped as mine. He's just recently started participating in the Flickr Group Roulette and I'm scared (in a good way) to see what he's going to come up with from day to day.
