Photography is my avocation. I am always looking for unique photographic challenges, but you will not always see me with my camera. I have found that if I have it with me constantly, I begin to miss all that is around me, to the sides, down, up, behind me. Sure I could point the lens in that direction, but I respect the art too much to go overboard with it. As Groucho Marx once said, "I love my cigars, but I take them out of my mouth once in a while."Love photographing my friends and even people I've never met. I am always willing to take on a new photographic chalenge. Heck only a few years ago I avoided portraits. Now those are my favorites.
Some of my friends have asked me to shoot a little more personal type of photo. I have a couple of samples here but most I cannot show. Discretion is extremly important to me and my friends know that they can trust me.
Drop me a note, let me know what you think.

Update: 3/6/10
OK I have to get this out of my head because I just can’t stand it any longer. I find models and photographers discussing, even arrogantly demanding, how they won't/shouldn't work with anyone who doesn't have a 'concept' for the shoot beforehand. I've been hearing it for years, and it always makes me laugh.

No offense to professionals doing focused shoots with props, but I find 'concepts' to often be a very silly idea, except when you're working in a blank studio. Even then, the best artistic nude work I know is about the way light falls on a form, or the richness of color, and of course about the model as a unique being. Outdoor work is also about repeating lines and echoing the landscape, and evoking certain emotions with the relationship between the model and setting.
Concepts always make me think of glamour shoots and people dressing up in costumes and acting weird for no particular reason I can discern.. much of the time, such work leaves me cold, or I find the model is all I can appreciate. I take models to interesting locations and look through the viewfinder at them, then suggest poses.. 99% of the time that's all the pre-conceptualization that takes place
