artist/photog - 73 going on 35 - looking for beauty in the world.
have had cameras in hand for 60 years and still at it. who can stop?
when i found flickr, it was like opening my darkroom door after 60 years and going,' MY GOD! THERE ARE OTHERS OUT THERE. i wondered where you all were. though i try never to compare my work to others, I am a bit humbled by all the great work i've just begun to see. BUT, there is so much to learn. flickr is the best photo university in the world. it is the world.

my digital watercolors
how do i do my photopainting? since you asked. man, what a hard question. i use so many different techniques. there is no one recipe. i use anything in photoshop i can think of. i have painter and only use it a few times. dont have time to learn it.
on the latest style[ watercolor-i use ps cs5 and topaz filters. i use images with hue and saturation altered,
--- i use ps reduce noise filters to smooth things out. noise median makes a nice blur effect. some pics react differently using the same effect. i save my watercolor effect as an action in ps so i just click watercolor and it goes to work. then i tweak here and there till i like it. you just have to experiment till you find a combo that works for you. hope this helps.
i play a lot of "what if i do this? or that? and see what happens to the pic i'm doing."
