I'm just another guy with a camera and a Flickr account.

I'm busy. Far too busy to spend as much time taking pictures of things as I would like. But I try.

I have an adorable wife. Three adorable kids. You can see their adorableness in my photos sometimes. Sometimes you'll see their other qualities. Who knows.

I live in Burnsville, Minnesota. To the "Where the hell is Burnsville?" crowd, it should read "near Minneapolis, Minnesota".

I ride bikes but not as much as I would like. I get paid to write for a corporation, but a lot of times they're paying me while I write things for myself. Like now.

I enjoy the combination of art, creativity, science, trial and error, and luck that photography offers. Sometimes I enjoy the mistakes I make.

I'm very much an amateur photographer.

I shoot with a Nikon D5000. I have three lenses that I use: the kit 18-55mm, a Tamron 70-300mm f4-5.6 Di VC, and my newest the Nikkor 50mm f/1.8 AF-S.

As you can see, my evolution as a photographer has drawn me to urban monochrome shots. I've sort of started "collecting" captures of well-known and/or interesting buildings and businesses around Minneapolis and St. Paul. I kind of feel like I'm creating a little documentary around town.
