I bought my Nikon D40 on February 2nd, 2008 and ever since that day my camera and I have been inseparable. Photography has become a passion of mine that grows stronger with each Image I take. I now greatly appreciate natural and fabricated beauty which I used to disregard. My awareness to discrete visual details has been greatly enhanced; I no longer see things as ordinary but as shapes, form, light and darkness. All of this originates from a fantastic device, which allows me to capture a moment in exactly the way I see it: the camera.
I had no interest in photography until my friend Andrew showed me his D40 and what he was doing with it. So, I owe Andrew a great deal of thanks because without him I might have never seen the enjoyment which can come from taking photos. If you like the photos in my photostream, I highly recommend viewing his stream as well. Also check out other great photos under the Guelph Photography Club group which has many fantastic photographers which have given me much appreciated guidance.
