About 15-16 years ago I started to get into photography in high school. It was the entire shoot, develop and hanging about in dark rooms that got me initially.
After a quite a few years I didn't touch a camera again. In fact I didn't own a camera again until 2003. After a trip to Spain (then another trip to Spain, Finland, Japan and the UK) I bought a 2nd hand camera from Sengsta. Since then I've not been able to help myself and keep buying new equipment.
My background is more of a technical one, so I enjoy trying to push myself to come up with something at least a little artistic. I enjoy just keeping photography a hobby, as I feel that it keeps it fun.
To date I've not figured out what I prefer doing shots of. Glaciers are cool, but limited chances on the west coast of OZ. People are cool. Weddings can be cool. Long exposure shots of random things at night are cool.
