I'm a born a bred Brisbane man, 20 years old and a full time student @ QUT.

Just bought a Nikon D200! What a beautiful camera! Though it's second hand and used, it came from a good mate and was a steal for the price, especially considering I never thought I'd own it. I've gone and bought a Nikon 50mm f1.8, and am really enjoying the challenges of shooting with it.

I dont pretend to be good at photography, but now I've got some more serious gear I hope my skills will improve. I really just learn by trial and error and learning from other more accomplished mates.

Moving into a digital age, photography has become more of an everyman's art. Anyone can now take a mediocre shot and put it through Photoshop and come out with a great product. I think this, whilst great for most people, is a bit of a travestly. I believe the perfect photo is that which is flawed - you shouldn't have to 'fix' things in the first place.

My main interests are Aquariums, Cars and Nature photography.
