I am an electrician who discovered digital photography several years ago with the Canon 300D. I have since upgraded to a 30D, passing on my old 300D to a good home.
I am learning a lot thanks to the benefits of digital, and really enjoy knowing people like my photography.
A very big thanks to Babushka for the Pro account, it was unexpected but appreciated.
Babs happens to be the new owner of my old camera, and is taking some amazing photos with it. You should check them out.

babushka says:
"What is left to say that jj has not said... apart from a HUGE *Thankyou* - for the inspiration, motivation, education, endless support and encouragement that keeps pushing me to create...
The world viewed through your lenses - whether it be a macro of a dragonfly, portrait of a passerby, or a captured moment from your everyday - is always one of implicit precision, thoughtful composition and skilled use of the available hardware.
This is a photographer to be truly inspired by!"3rd June, 2007

justjjoke says:
"For a long time Dark Orange shared his photos and his enthusiasm for photography on a forum about the natural world; he explained approaches and tools and demonstrated specific knowledge and skills ... and so, built up my own interest in having a go at recording the natural world at my back door/s ... taking photographs of my own.
He also helped this ignorant beginner to take advantage of existing "hardware" in the house and convert it into a new _digital_ SLR that would not have been possible any other way. The new camera is a Canon 400D (body only, to go with existing lenses from an EOS something-else (not digital))
Regardless of the merits of my efforts, I am enjoying learning this, my new hobby, enormously.
I will always be grateful for the patient and persistent encouragement that he so graciously offered.
Thank you.
