I'm fascinated by so much, and this is probably reflected in my photography. I'm doing something with my camera, or photo processing at some point everyday. My work seems to cut across many themes, subjects and techniques, as I continue to explore my personal vision.

Photography is an integral element of my life. It's important to me that images I publish or print are expressive or artful, first -- if they're photojournalistic or nature shots or street shots or otherwise very much recording of reality, great, but that's rarely my first priority . I'm very taken by light, shapes, tones, textures, monchrome, abstraction and impressions in general. And, sometimes color or just plain natural beauty wins my attention over everything else.

After my husband, grown children, and dog Linus -- and photography -- I love to learn, and have many interests: various global issues, far flung travels, computing, graphic design, blogging, good fiction, writing, marketing,hiking, mushrooming. That's this year.....

Happily, my husband and I recently bought a place in Sedona, Arizona, which will now be our primary home. We live in our beloved Deer Isle, Maine house 4-5 months a year. I drive a four-door jeep and can't jump in without my Canon 5D Mark II, Gitzo and camera bags. Favorite lenses: Canon 24-105 L, 16-35 L, 70-200 L, and my new 28-300L -- big but good and incredibly versatile.

I am gratefully past raising my family, working too hard to build a healthcare IT business, and trying to prevent crows feet.

I am greatly enjoying the contacts I've made in Flickr and try as best I can to watch your work and comment regularly. I ask only that if you want to be a contact that you reciprocate with your interest and comments. I love words I can learn from, even if they don't say FABULOUS.
