Here is a small collection of some of my favorite images. Some of them I consider to be strong enough for use in my portfolio, but the majority of them simply stir some deep sentiment and make me smile. I hope you enjoy learning a little bit about me through these images and I hope that perhaps you will also find yourself smiling at some of them, too.

I like to take pictures of a variety of subjects; there is not one area I enjoy more than others. Having just said that, I guess I will sheepishly admit that I most enjoy taking pictures on stormy, overcast days when the lighting is moody. One of the things I’ve noticed through the years is that when I am writing, I focus on light. How it looks, the effects that it has…In my photographs, I have a tendency to focus on shadows and darkness. I am not sure what particular insight that may bring you, but I find it to be an interesting tidbit. I guess if I were to name my favorite subjects, it would be architectural details, anything water-related, especially reflections in water. And my daughter. Getting her to laugh and capturing her lighthearted, goofy, warm spirit is a wonderful thing...so often she is so seriously bogged down in thought or in her artistic creations, I forget what a free spirit she has.
