Male, mid-fifties, scientist, home is wherever I'm taking pictures.

I use an Olympus camera, usually the best that 3-400 $ can buy at any given time. Olympus because the first one I got was Olympus and I hate changing brands and having to learn new interfaces. I go through about one camera a year. Switched to SLR in 2008.

My pictures are raw, straight from the camera, with no photoshop manipulation (except for a handful of shots with very minor cropping).

In my flickr site, each photo occurs in exactly one geographically-named set, accessible via the collection "places". There is also a selection of my favourite shots, in the collection "portfolio". In addition, some photos also occur in other sets organized by events, themes, colours or numbers.

I greatly appreciate your comments on my photos. If I do not always reciprocate, it's because for much of the year I do not have broadband internet access, and cannot simply browse through all of your wonderful photos as I would very much like to.
