Me llamo Daniel (Dani para los amigos) y soy de Madrid, España, lugar en el que nací y en el que he vivido siempre. De padres madrileños también, y de raíces andaluzas por parte de mis abuelos, me considero ante todo un amante de mi ciudad y un urbanita en general, lo cual no me impide disfrutar de la tranquilidad del campo o la montaña.

Mi profesión es muy técnica: programador informático especializado en bases de datos, y eso desemboca en una cabeza quizá algo cuadriculada respecto a ciertas cosas, pero me considero muy pasional, espontaneo e imprevisible.

Evidentemente, adoro todo lo que tenga que ver con la tecnología e Internet, y tengo innumerables cacharritos que lo demuestran. Aunque si tengo una gran pasión es, sin duda alguna, el cine. Es mi amor verdadero y uno de los pilares de mi vida, algo mucho más profundo que un hobby. También soy un gran amante de la música, con especial mención a las bandas sonoras de películas y a las grandes voces femeninas, preferiblemente voces negras. Me gusta divertirme, salir con mis amigos, largas cenas y tertulias, y vivir las cosas con intensidad pero también con responsabilidad.

Me encanta leer, aunque quizá en menor medida que lo ya mencionado. Adoro la literatura fantástica y mi libro favorito es El Silmarillion de JRR Tolkien, que ya he leído decenas de veces. También adoro el Manga como lectura y el Anime, así como la cultura japonesa en general.

Me considero melómano y friki (positivamente hablando), una persona sensata y reflexiva, escrutadora y pensativa, pero me gusta moverme entre diferentes niveles, pasando de la frivolidad más espantosa a la profundidad más metafísica según requiera la situación y el momento. Si tengo que buscar un adjetivo, ese sería noble. También podrías añadir otros como honrado, fiel, sensible y divertido. Pero también pedante, ególatra, irónico y malhumorado, según la circunstancia. Me encantaría ser la parte positiva de mis virtudes todo el tiempo, pero es imposible.

Adoro hacer nuevas amistades y conocer mundo, ya que viajar es una de mis grandes pasiones cuando tengo el lujo de poder hacerlo.

Y creo que ya está bien: para conocer a una persona, más que leer una descripción, es conocerla de verdad, sea a través de las palabras o en carne y hueso. Si quieres hablar conmigo, no dudes en hacerlo. Hablo español, inglés, y un poco de japonés.

My name’s Daniel (Dani for my friends) and I’m from Madrid, Spain, place I was born and raised. My parents are from Madrid too, and I’ve got Andalusian roots from my grandparent’s side, but I consider myself, above it all, a lover of my city and an urban man in general, wich of course doesn’t keep me from enjoying the quietness of the countryside or the mountain.

I’ve got a very technical profession: computer programmer specialized in databases, and that of course leads to my very squared head about certain stuff, but I consider myself a very passionate guy, spontaneous and unpredictable.

Obviously, I adore everything linked to technology and Internet, and I’ve got endless gadgets that prove it. Still, if I have a great passion, that is undoubtly Cinema. My true love, one of the main pillars of my life, something far deeper than a simple hobby. I am also a great lover of music, with special mention to movie soundtracks and great female voices, black ones in particular. I love to have fun, hanging out with friends, long dinners and chats, and live with intensity along with responsibility.

I love reading, though maybe a little bit less than what’s already mentioned. I adore fantasy literature and my favourite book is The Silmarillion from JRR Tolkien, which I’ve read dozens of times already. I also adore Manga comics as reading and Anime too, and Japanese culture in general.

I consider myself a great music lover, a Freak (in the best way), a senseful and reflexive, thoughtful and watcher, but I love to move around different levels, going from terrible triviality to the deepest metaphysicality depending on the requirements of the moment and the situation. If I have to look for an adjective to describe myself, that would be noble. Also, you could add honest, loyal, sensible and funny. But also pedant, self-worshipping, ironic and bad-humoured, depending on the circumstances. I’d love to be the positive part of my virtues all the time, but that is impossible.

I love making new friends and travel around the workd, since travelling is one of my biggest passions everytime I have the chance.

And I think that’s all: to know a person, more than reading a description, you have to really meet him, whether through words or in person. If you wanna talk to me, do not hesitate. I speak Spanish, English and a little bit of Japanese.
