"I've never written a flickr testimonial before - but Danny [n] is a photographer who I want to put my name to: so I can share a bit of his glory; and so I can encourage others to have a good look at his stuff. I normally just write about musicians. The first time I ever saw Danny he was playing bass in a metal band in Leeds (UK). Danny's love of (and talent for) music sings right through his pictures. He has an artist's impulse to create something special with whatever he does. I know it isn't effortless (I watched him working at Leeds Festival this year!). But Danny's results always look as though he was just enjoying the situation and loving the music. I'm flabbergasted at his knack of creating unexpected situations and contexts for promotional pictures. Rock photography is a vast museum of cliche - but Danny keeps on making things look fresh. Young musicians in Leeds are really lucky to have him around. He also cares for people - see the picture of Angela from Gogol Bordello and read his notes on the security thug - his love and care come right into his work and make it special."
