I grew up close to the palatinate forest in southern Germany, just ten minutes from the French boarder.
Since my childhood I felt very close to nature and I loved to spend my time outside the house. Even if now, I have to admit, I do like to spend time on my Mac, editing my images or doing some web sites.
One of my favourite memories is, of course, the school holidays, when I was able to spend these days with my grandparents hiking this beautiful area of Germany, with its amazing landscapes and castles. I remember my mother telling me that there must be some Gypsy blood running through my veins as there was nothing that could keep me at home. Not long after I finished school I left my hometown. Always on the move, nothing could keep me long in one place. Even if they where beautiful and I met a lot of nice people... there was always a little voice, calling me, telling me to keep on moving, to keep on discovering that beautiful world full of fascinating things and places.
But for more then ten years now, I have found an anchorage on the fortunate Spanish island of Lanzarote, not far from the coast of Morocco in the North Atlantic Ocean. Here, where it seems sometimes that time stands still and the landscape looks like one from another world making you feel as if you live on a different planet, I have my home and starting point to my still continuing travelling.
