I prefer taking photographs of things rather than people. I have been told it is better to take photos of people rather than things/places because eventually you forget what the place was, but I don't forget.

You will notice however that I have a lot of photos of myself in my album. This is because while I don't feel the need to take photos of people whilst visiting places, I would like to improve when it comes to artistically photographing people. Since I don't have many people to model for me, I just model for myself. This is extremely faulty since It's mostly just headshots, but until I get some of my friends to model for me, this is what you're stuck with!

I'm an amateur photographer, but I'm trying to improve and understand the technical aspect of photography, since I have not had any formal training.
