I was award recipient of "2003 Ontario Senior Achievement Award", and "Ontario Volunteer Service Award> twice in 1998 and 2001 for 5 years and 10 years. Received the "Chinese Canadian Outstanding Achievement Awards" from the Committee of Chinese New Year Gala in Toronto within 9 years consecutively.

Named in "1998 Collection of Celebrities in the World" and "1998 Collection of Famous Photographers in the World" , both issued by "The HongKong Chinese and Foreign Celebrities Research Centre."; Also named in the "2001 Dictionary of Worldwide Chinese Picks" and other several books issued by the Chinese International Celebrities Rearch Institute, Beijing and other Provinces in China.

I have been dabbling in amateur photography for 60
years, first as a photographer-correspondent of the Student Union of Tsing Hua University, Beijing in 1948. I am the current Chairman of Toronto Chinese Canadian Photographers Centre; and a former Guest Professor of South China Normal University, Guangzhou, China.

I was published in the lists of The Photographic Society of America's " Who's Who in Photography" for four years consecutively since I started to enter my entries to different International Salons of Photography in 1995 and ended in 1998. Among the entrants of whole Canadian Photographers, I was placed the fifth in 1996, the eighth in 1997, 13th in 1998, and 9th in 1999 in the Pictorial Print Division. I participated in the photo competitions during these four years, my entries had been accepted or awarded for more than 120 times, including silver medals, bronze medals and many other trophy, certificates of merit,etc. Meanwhile, I was awarded many times in local photo contests, including the 2nd place of "Canadian International Air Show ( in Toronto) 1995"; and the first place of "Toronto International Kite Festival 2000" ," Canada Day", and " China 2003", and the winning entry of "Share your Kodak Moments 1995", etc.

I was invited to Beijing, Harbin, Nanking and Guangzhou in China, Los Angeles to hold my photo exhibitions, as well as "The Bangkok International Art Exhibition and Conference of Worldwide Chinese 1998". I have more than 300 photos which have already been collected at home and abroad by personal preferences and art galleries.

For popularizing the photographic art, in 1994-2004 I have organized more than 30 various photo exhibitions and given lectures to the communities many times. Almost every year during that period I have had my own photo exhibitions in the Rotunda of Toronto City Hall. For renewing my exhibiting photos I travelled the five continents, including 37 States in the US, 9 Provinces in Canada. There are 37 sites of UNESCO World Heritage in China, I have visited 31 sites among them and make sure now that I will have my photo exhibition with a theme of "World Heritage in China" for matching the 60th anniversary of the founding of PRC.

In 1997 I initiated to establish and registered with some photographers the "Toronto Chinese Canadian Photographers Centre", in order to take vigorous action to community's events, and promote photographic skill, and strengthen the services for Chinese Community, such as helping the Consulate General of PRC in Torontoto run the photo exhibitions for celebrating Chinese National Days, reunification of HK and Macau, and the Tibet Cultural Week, etc. Moreever, I have written and published the photographic book as a reference book of some Chinese Universities and photographic societies.
