Konnichiwa, minna-san! SOoooo, you want to know about my world?
I'm a Southern Californian girl, born and raised - but Spanish/Peruvian by birthright. I've been reading since I was a wee thing, and writing for nearly as long. I write fantasy, scifi, and graphic novels, as well as poetry & occasional song lyrics for local bands. I also do voice acting for anime every so often. Website design is a hobby I enjoy, creating various sites for personal use, and for friends & family when the need arises.

I'm an anime otaku- and crazy about anything Japanese in general. I have a pretty sizable collection of items from my favorite animes and mangas: "Bastard!!", "Escaflowne", and anything by "Studio Ghibli", among others.

I also collect action figures, statues, and UFO catchers. As for my WALLS...they are practically groaning from all the wallscrolls/posters/animation cels...I think I might have to get another apartment just to house them all. I generally have to keep all my stuff on a rotation basis; redecorating my apartment yearly to suit my mood and current fixations. Don't believe me? Oh ho ho! Go here to see a bit of my phat lewts..^_^
I enjoy Asian Cinema as well. I love the sometimes unorthodox techniques they use to convey anything from emotion to violence. If you haven't seen "Battle Royale", go rent it! But you'll have to go to a Chinatown/Little Tokyo to do so...its graphic violence on teens kind of makes the US commercial market cringe.

I freely admit to a healthy Jpop/Jrock fixation. Especially when it comes to the (now defunct) Jrock band "X Japan"! I have all of their music, including video tapes. Anything that comes my way with them on it HAS to be added to the collection. It's great. I mean, it's like they never knew the 80's were over! Lookat that hair!!

Between them and "Two-Mix", the greatest j-pop/techno band ever, I can have my choice of 80's angst or...um...candy. Two-Mix is the Skittles of techno :P

I'm an avid RPGer- NOT necessarily tabletopping; I prefer to use online games as my engine. I don't really care how my imagination gets out, really. It can be chatting, text-based online games, etc. I just like the visuals many MMORPG's offer. Not to mention that I can always run around and do missions/quests when there is no roleplay to be had.
I've been known to invest lots of time in NCSoft's highly engaging MMORPG City of Heroes... protecting the innocent, pounding the bad guys...yep, that was the way to live! I began playing years ago as a Beta Tester.

Being my first MMORPG, I was gratified to discover that not only had I found a game that supported my love of comic books but also an excellent community. Over the months I've made many friends as one of the leading Centurions in "The Doom Supremacy" on the Freedom Server and had a lot of fun, which was my primary goal.
In April 2005 I beta tested City of Villains, and was immediately hooked. I think I made a much better criminal mastermind than I ever did a heroine *evil chuckle*. Now the only thing I protect is my bank account *cackle*. In any event, I made even more frien..er, accomplices and am proud to say am one of the lead marauders in my guild, "The Doom Syndicate". In fact, I tend to find myself assisting in the running of most guilds I join...something about being a tad obsessive, perhaps lol. Also, I really try to give my all to any guild I am part of. That being said, I am a founder of one of the largest guilds in DDO (Dungeons & Dragons Online) on the Thelanis server, "The Guardians of the Horizon. However, after attempting to start a branch of the The Doom Supremacy on World of Warcraft as a new player I decided it would really be a treat to enjoy the game as something other than a guildleader. I recently joined a wonderful guild on the Uldaman server by the name of Windward, and so far have been very happy.

Hrm, what ELSE do I do? I practice the Japanese art of swordfighting known as Kenjutsu. It keeps both my mind & body in shape, plus-you never know when you'll need to take someone's head *grin*. That, combined with my formidable "Sharp Things" collection from around the world makes my home a very dangerous place to navigate for the uninitiated! I love to travel; been to several countries out of the USA (Europe, South America, and a couple years ago..JAPAN) and I'm aiming to spend at least a few weeks out of every year somewhere different. Not that I do it, but hey it's a goal ^_^

I'm currently working on a trilogy of fantasy novels that is driving me NUTS at the moment. It WILL be published some day...but that particular adventure will have to go in the blog hehe...
