I'm back

-- Quick Note On Contacts: Please feel free to add me as a contact, but do not be offended if I don't add you back immediately. I get people who add me, but never message me, comment or fav any photos, so I am uncertain at that point what their intentions are.

I try to visit my contacts several times a week.. I want to make meaningful relationships with my contacts through our photos. If you share this passion and feel the connection, reach out because I'll be certain to notice.

Recently I have had to start carefully evaluating my contact list and begin cleaning it up. Many of those were people whom I had visited many times over the past several months, (trying to make a connection) but I never heard back from them.. either the connection wasn't there, or again they use the contact system differently. I don't take it personal, but there's only so much time in my day.. and I want to be the best contact I can be, but not by bouncing comments/feedback into what appears to be a photostream with no human connection on the other end.. I think it's the community aspect of flickr that makes it so wonderful!

About Me and My "Gear":
I am but a humble amateur photographer still seeking my own photographic identity. My current passions are close-up nature photography, and capturing my daughters candid moments, therefore I don't stress over perfect hair or outfits, but over lighting and facial expression. Studio photography certainly has it's place, but for me it's the candid moments that offer the best memories. Almost all of my photography is available light as it works best with my style and is the most pleasing to my eyes when lighting is right.

I find so much inspiration on flickr, it never ceases to amaze me just how much photographic talent is out there on our beautiful earth. If I add you as a contact, I have probably found inspiration in your talent. Don't feel it necessary to add me as well, I won't be hurt, though it's always welcomed if you do :)

My interest for photography first began in college, but I was unable to pursue this interest at that time. With the birth of my daughter in 2006, I purchased the cross-over Sony DSC-R1. This is when I began to learn more about photography and really start to take interest in it, but still very little time with a newborn daughter. Finally in July 08 I purchased my first DSLR (Olympus E-520) and the rest they say is history and the bug for photography has hit and thus my lens collection has increased as well.

I was born in Michigan, but raised from the age of 1 in Northeast Tennessee. After college I spent 3 years in Washington state, and then 8 months in New Mexico, only to once again be living in Michigan less than 4 miles away from the hospital I was originally born in, funny the path life takes you.
