"There is something about Dale...what is it exactly? *shrug* I don't know exactly.. it's unexplainable yet somehow undeniable.

Perhaps it could be his fascinating ability to mine his old photos and recycle them into gallery-ready pieces...combining seemingly unrelated photos to make a statement.

It might be the trance-inducing "trademark" greenish-hue that brings viewers to his photostream...it might be his powerful words and clever titles that accompany each upload and bring viewers back.

Or it could just be that Dale is one of the good guys. He takes the time to make each person feel appreciated for their comments. He isnt "too good" to share his techniques and will take the time to walk someone through the process step-by-step.

I think of Dale as a positive-light...shining steadily and proudly...bringing something bright to my life...and I am certain many other's as well.

It is my pleasure to have found him on Flickr...and my good fortune to call him my dear friend.

    Good work, mon ;)

"If I were to sum up Dale's work in four words, it would go like this: lines, shadows and spaces. Dale's photos have a style that is clean and arresting, and I can always immediately spot an image of his in a page of thumbnails from my contacts; he can make a telephone pole fascinating. Minimalist masterpieces, one and all that prove, definitively, that less is more."

    "beauty begets beauty.

I have a piece of beauty in my heart that was created by knowing dale. He is the truest friend I've never met. He's the kind of person you could sit up all night talking with.
Strong, centered, thoughtful, selfless...these words only begin to describe him.

His photography, poems and stories have made me smile, laugh, cry...but above all, they've made my heart more full."
