I have been making work about tree-climbing since 2002. The work has taken many different forms over the years. Each concept has determined the medium, and has varied from installation, sculpture, photography, performance and interactive works. For over three years I committed myself to climbing a tree everyday for not only artistic inspiration, but to better my arboreal abilities and to stay connected to the natural world. The 1,187 day project has yielded over 10,000 images, hundreds of videos and written accounts of almost every experience shared on my weblog dailyclimb.org. The immeasurable hours spent in the treetops have provided a familiarity of trees that have powered many of the ideas of my most recent projects.
