An average guy who happens to love photography. I am an amateur (still learning the ropes) and got my first DSLR in May 2008, a Nikon D40 with lens kit 18-55mm & 55-200mm VR.... and as of 07 December 2008, I now have a 18-200mm VR (which makes the other 2 lens obsolete lol) and also a 35mm f/1.8 DX bought in December 2009.
Next in my list is a Tokina 11-16mm f/2.8 or a Nikon 50mm f/1.8... hmmmm, decision time!
My favourite photo subjects are usually airplanes and airports as I am a self confessed aviation enthusiast and really nuts about it. Some of my older pictures can be found at www.airliners.net (the world's largest collection of aviation photos on the web).
But now, since I have my spanking new DSLR I will be posting all my photos here on Flickr, with a bit more variety hopefully. My special interests are Night Photography (Long Exposure/Natural Lighting), DOF, urban landscape and cloud formations. More recently I have found myself increasingly turning to B&W and sepia photography. I hope you enjoy.
I currently live in Awesome Melbourne, Australia, so most of the pictures will be from around here. But I do get to travel a bit sometimes, so my photostream will have the occasional snapshot from other places and countries, just a little sprinkle to keep things colorful and interesting...
Please leave comments (constructive criticism that is), they are very much appreciated, as they help me improve on the techniques & the photographs I take.
errr, and hopefully one of these days I will get my head around HDR lol.
