First things first: BIG THANKS to the anonymous donor & good fairy who put an end to my indecision and gave me the gift of a renewed Flickr 'pro' account in April 2011. :)

Hello. I take pictures. I love taking pictures. I generally prefer shooting with beautiful, natural [or available] light and prime lenses. I also love butter and snail mail and spontaneous, unexpected gifts. And shiny things! And wordplay. My favorite game--hands down--is Boggle.

(A short list of things I don't like: phonies, sycophants and liars. Excess packaging!)

I'm a freelance editorial, commercial & fine art photographer and am available for assignments or commissions; if you contact me with details/questions, I will get back to you promptly! I also sell fine art prints by special order. I occasionally assist other photographers as well, and can often double as a wardrobe and/or lay-down stylist. I'm also pretty good at finding those proverbial needles in haystacks...

I use Flickr for posting personal pictures, for funny/strange things I happen to find (and photograph), for inspiration*, for 'testing,' and for general sharing of images, ideas and observations. In other words, this is not a tightly edited presentation of my best photos... Some of what you might see here is represenative of 'my work,' and some of it is just me having a life.

That said, all of my images are © All Rights Reserved. Please don't steal my photos or use them for any reason without my permission. A limited number of my photos here on Flickr are available for licensing through Getty Images. (By the way...and please don't take it personally, but I cannot afford to work for free and I am not in the habit of giving away my images. Not even if you have "no budget for photography." I am always willing to work with people on pricing [and I'll even consider barter], but "free" or "in exchange for credit" are not viable pricing options...alas. I love my job but a girl's gotta eat. Or at least have her hair done!)

Maybe one day we'll live in a radically different world where money won't get in the way or mingle with everything we do and love. Until then...

And yes, I am a dreamer. But [I hope] I'm not the only one.
