The hunting of the subject, the capture of the image using nothing but a split second of light. The kill, the still. The paradox of a single moment given an arrested future, captured by light from the flow of the long now and the precious meantime.

Photographic images - they don't really need talking about much. They can be any or some of these things.....a record, a document, a memory, Art, a composition, a poem, a feeling, a picture, a portrait, a truth, a lie, a snap, a study, a view, and they either work or not. They're all about time and they've all been stolen from time. And hence concerned with loss as much as with the gain of capture.

So many images. All the hard drives, landfills, cd roms, photo albums, magazines, newspapers, photos stuffed in drawers, images in wallets and lockets, pictures on walls & mantlepieces, websites, coffee table books, litter bins, galleries, catalogues............ all these ephemeral images of lives and places imaginations and just time time time time time.........................................
