Hello.
I am currently an assistant professor at virginia commonwealth university in Qatar. Yep, that's right, I am living in Doha Qatar at the moment and really enjoying my ex-pat life.

My abridged bio: I have an MFA from RISD in graphic design, taught for a few years at Michigan State, born in Fargo, ND, grew up in Minnesota, lived in Oregon for a few years and in Rhode Island, and have traveled to almost all the US States except for Hawaii and a few in the South East, as well as approximately 30 plus countries.

I'm fortunate to have many amazing travel opportunities for both work and pleasure. I would not consider myself a photographer, but enjoy shooting photos where ever I go. Many of my projects revolve around documentary film, cultural research and other image-based creative work. My spouse often accompanies me and helps with the travel plans and day to day details.
