Culture Push is about hands-on learning, group problem solving, serious play and creating connections. The mission of Culture Push is to create a lively exchange of ideas between many different communities; artists and non-artists, professional practitioners and laypeople, across generations, neighborhoods, and cultures. Culture Push serves a diverse international community of thinkers and do-ers from all different professions. Culture Push focuses on collaboration and group learning through active participatory experiences, including practical symposia, artists’ projects, residencies, educational workshops, and dinners.

Culture Push is interested in where art will go and can go in this particular cultural moment. On one hand, specialized fields divide us; on the other hand, open resources make it possible to exchange knowledge and information with lightning speed. Culture Push seeks to both use and go beyond the world of specialization so that people of all backgrounds gain access to exciting ideas and new practices. Culture Push wants to know: where is creativity now?

Culture Push programs appear in many different locations and take many different forms, mimicking the fluid nature of cultural production. They bring together experienced creative minds temporarily, but leave a long lasting impression on our minds and bodies.
