Intro

Well first of all, welcome to my photostream and thank you for visiting my profile!

I take pictures because I love it, and I do it to satisfy my own enthusiasm and passion for photography. I ´m not interested in winning popularity, I just wish that you could enjoy my photos as much as I enjoy to take them.

I don't usually retouch excessively my pictures, since I try to do all the necessary processing directly from the camera. I mostly do everything manually, that's the way I learn to get good results under different conditions.

I do use processing to finish my photos for web or printing use and for other purposes such as vintage effects or black and white conversions.

Any comments and suggestions will be very welcomed!

About me

Born and raised in Palermo, an old-fashioned, humble and multicultural working class neighborhood in the southern outskirts of downtown Montevideo, famous for its carnival and afro-descendant candombe music. The youngest of 6 and part of a family of legendary footballers.

Grew up in a multicultural environment nearby the River Plate, the mouth of South America. Got interested in other cultures at the age of 9, after living nearly a year in Quito, Ecuador, discovering a very different scenery with mountains and beautiful landscapes. At the age of 18, took a year-long cultural exchange in Jyväskylä, Finland and got the chance to backpack around Europe. Fell in love and got fascinated with Finland and its nature.

A design and visual culture enthusiast since childhood years. Became a photography-addict on 2004 and a discovered the amazing world of Flickr on 2005.

Particularly focused on everyday life portraits and the charming finnish landscape scenery without losing a passionate attraction for architectural and urban sights too.

Lives with his lovely wife Kati and daughters Emma and Vera in the outskirts of Kouvola, a developing young city in the most beautiful region of Finland, Kymenlaakso.
