‘Life is a journey not a destination'. I for one really believe in the statement; it’s nice to take a break and admire the surroundings for what they are. In my journey so 'Prabhu’ has donned many caps but the real 'me' is still searching for the definition of ‘I’. To me, photography is an art of observation. It's about finding something interesting in an ordinary place... I've found it has little to do with the things you see and everything to do with the way you see them. Viewers often have multiple perspectives of the same scene: the thrill of the grand-view, the miracle of the details of a flower. This visual duality has engaged my mind for many years. I am fascinated by the synergy of the big picture and the details, or poetry and images, when viewed at the same time. While there is a totality in either perspective, when both are observed together, there is a synergy that results in a deeper appreciation of the whole.

My work is centered on the experience of being around when life happens. The people and the landscape are equally of interest to me. Seeing and being aware of one's surroundings is the underlying focus of my photographs. I find outdoors to be of unending interest, with more human warmth, humor and life than is typically associated with them. My work is about being in touch with my environment.

I am a corporate dropout who took up the challenge to pursue his deep interest in arts. I have previously worked in Corporate Sales and have been associated with radio As a RJ, also i have successfully completed three documentaries one being on my most loved subject ‘MUSIC”. Prabhu has lived in various parts of India and has experienced first hand how closely we are knit like the patterns in crochet, all tied up in different knots but still the part of the same fabric… I now marvel at the idea of being free while still at work; with the camera in my hands and dreams in my eyes i walk on knowing that life is a journey, not a destination....
