Chris Tait first picked up a camera of his own to chronicle three months of exploring Canada coast-to-coast, sleeping on park benches and bus seats, and living on dollars a day.

Since then he's found a passion for wedding, portrait, fashion and editorial photography. Most of his kit has been carefully selected to be easily carried to wherever his clients want him to be in case you were wondering, which you weren't.

Chris now works peddling the tools of his trade at The Camera Store, where, apart from sometimes feeling a bit like a diabetic kid in a candy shop, he rejoices in wonderful glass and mechanical things on a daily basis.

Recently, Chris made the splendid mistake of investing in a Hasselblad 500C/M for personal projects and has since been dwelling in its Swedish boxiness (See also: Volvo, Ikea, latter-day Anita Ekberg), petting its shiny head, feeding it plenty of Delta and Provia, and letting it sleep at the foot of the bed.

Chris, along with friend and super-multi-talented Calgary artist Sarah Radomsky, put on his first gallery show in March 2009, entitled BARE. They hope to follow up with another sometime in 2011 or early 2012.

Chris has (most of) a BA in English Literature, enjoys slightly impossible things and is strangely comfortable referring to himself in the third person.
