My special interest is documenting vintage Americana (and Canadiana) before it's gone. It's a great excuse to explore new places and take the road less traveled.

I am also a private pilot (aka Norcal Aviator) and love flying and taking aerial shots and videos.

I've always been interested in photography having bought my first SLR, a fully manual Praktica, some 30 years ago. But I have not taken the interest very seriously. The DSLR revolution has reignited my interest, and I have recently become a flickr addict.

I've been living in Northern California for the last 15 years, mostly in the San Francisco Bay Area, and currently in the East Bay. Other places I've lived are Sacramento, Chicago and Edmonton, Alberta, Canada where I was born and raised.
