Crown Town Handmade is a group of artistic entrepreneurs from Charlotte, NC, who are serious about turning their craft into a business. We work to provide business services to our members by our members, while promoting within our larger community both our artists, the Etsy community, and the idea of buying handmade.

We develop our businesses together through monthly member workshops, craft supply swaps, and a skill share database, where members can offer help and get help from other members on the business side of things. We focus on helping each member to build a strong brand, and many of our workshops tie in to this in some way. We encourage leadership through our group so that members can learn new skills and network throughout both the crafter community and the community at large.

We promote our members, the Etsy community, and the idea of buying handmade through an active blog, Twitter account, and Facebook account, which highlight arts and crafts events throughout the city, retail locations who sell handmade items, artist profiles and virtual studio tours, craft tutorials, etc.

We inspire a DIY spirit in our community by offering events that allow the public to get crafty while meeting their local artists. These events include monthly community craft nights, crafts fairs, studio tours, etc.

Our team is made up primarily of Etsy sellers from Charlotte, NC and surrounding counties, but we accept members who sell their handmade products through other venues, as well. We encourage all members to sell on Etsy and help them get started with a new seller packet and one-on-one help, when needed.
