I am part owner of CrocTalk Conservation & Rescue (www.croctalk.com) here in Kelowna BC Canada. We are a conservation through educational facilty involved with providing a safe clean environment for these animals that have been rescued or donated to our learning centre.
The focus at CrocTalk has always been on educating the young.
“To change the future it is imperative to change and educate the minds of our children.’
After all, our future leaders' understanding of the environment will not only improve their resource management skills but also their ability in their decision-making.
Community awareness and the "hands-on" involvement and participation that is provided at CrocTalk Conservation has helped even in the classroom by discussing the importance of environmental education, and effective learning programs. All of this awareness, the partners believe is necessary to create a balance when talking and discussing crocodilian concerns and the importance of conserving this wonderful species.
CrocTalk focuses on their Biology & Ecology, history on planet and the study and observation of
the six species in their educational facility. This facility is also able to boast of some of the inhabitants responding to their own names and understanding certain commands. All ready and willing to respond to Mr. Illman with these unique actions…for all to witness!
Their immune system also is discussed and the recent study and successes of those studies.
I am also part owner of Rocky Mountain Murals (www.murals1.com) a company focusing on photorealism handpainted murals in resorts, exclusive homes, hotels & and restaurants. We have close to 500 murals and art works in Kelowna
“For over 35 years in the murals/decorating business (19 of them in Kelowna) I have worked with home owners, and business owners in combining the colour and decor of an area, with the unique atmosphere of a trompe l'oeil window illusion or a wall mural. Photo-realism is the result.
I have found that creating a trompe l'oel window, or other unique illusions, cause people to experience delight in being visually deceived. When the customer is captivated by a piece of this work, then I know my goal has been accomplished. “
