Due to a rather lackluster enrollment in the Church of the Mystic Fuzzbang, I have enlisted the help of very smart people at a very successful marketing firm to help drum up some business… I mean members. These very smart people informed me that brand identification is the logical choice to manipulate you into acceptance, so the church has been renamed the Church of the Mystic Cheez Doodle.

Which brand to choose was vigorously debated back and forth between myself, but the cheez doodle ended up being the winner. Its universal appeal, instant visual recognizance, and mystical facsimile to real food make it the obvious symbol on which to base my new and improved, 99% fat-free teachings of the ascended masters. In addition, nothing better sums up all of our dabbling with intelligence than the cheez doodle. The law of diminishing returns set in a long time ago, and the condensed form of that reality is that bright orange corn puff.

If you don’t know what a cheez doodle is, then you are probably a terrorist. Please report yourself at once to the author-ities.

I’m sure that the owners of the cheez doodle brand name won’t mind having a religion’s being named after it, but if they do, they can contact me and I will most certainly change the name to The Church of the Mystic Cheez Curl.

"An introspective and detail oriented photographer, Chris at first sees, pauses to feel, absorbing his surroundings, and then looks to document this world before his eyes. His images are unique and thought provoking, not to mention perfectly exposed. Partnered with his nomadic tendencies and a taste for left of center exploration, I find myself immersed in his stream constantly."

"I'm not quite sure how or where I first noticed Chris's photostream. His superb images have a dramatic quality that is both realistic and dreamlike at the same time. He shows you not only what is there, but its invisible aspects, and his (and your) feelings about it. His places have memories and thoughts and hopes. Clever, intelligent and hugely perceptive photos that sneak into you mind and become part of your worldview. Thanks, Chris."

"Chris has versatile talents, and one flickr is just not enough to disclose... his art and photography is endless stream of both aesthetics and challenge. Next generations will publish his photographic documentary in tutorials, but we are more lucky because can watch in real time .... just go on!"

"Chris' photos really inspire me and give me the power to go places that I would otherwise think too scary to go! lol.. but really.. him and JMCT are like my idols of urbex... , color, and magical settings... his pictures are so fully of nostalgia , wonder and excitement of exploration... they keep me comming back for more and to push me to create some of my own if only a mere shadow of what he documents..."

"Chris is the reason why I take photos. His technical and creative abilities are, without question, remarkable. I've been watching his photos for close to 20 years. Some of them have nearly brought me to tears. There is generally an apocalyptic feeling to his photos - this only enhances the beauty."
