I don't just take pictures of Trains... but what can I say? I like them. And I think I'm pretty good at taking pictures of them... sometimes...

Photography is pretty much a way of life for me. I have 3 Digital Camera's: A Sony Alpha 100 DSLR, Fujifilm FinePix 6500fd Bridge Camera (that I always keep in my work bag) and a little Canon A470 compact. A lot of my early photos on here though are scans from 35mm Photos shot on a Konika Minolta Dynax 4 SLR or some 35mm compact I was using at the time.

99% my photos have a title, caption and tags and are uploaded as is. Maybe some tweaking here and there but No photoshopping or any of that nonsense. If it's been arted and farted with it will say so and for what reason.

Feel free to ask if you want to use my photos. (Lot's of people have) Asking is Mandatory, a Cheque would be even better!

Anyone using my photos as their own personal photo library (i.e someone who favourites a ton of them but who doesn't have anything up on Flickr themselves) will be blocked. And I rarely comment or care for photos on here that just have a photo i.d code for a title and little or nothing else.

As well as having one book Published (Lost Railways of Wiltshire, Pub 2006) my work has been used by Urbane Magazine, Newshopper (Paper and Website), Bexley Times (Paper and Website) National Geographic (Website), BBC (Website), Ove Arup Plc, The London Railway Record and various documentary companies etc. I also had an exhibition at my Local Library of 40+ photos in November 2009.

    Steve Thoroughgood says:

"Whether by design or otherwise, 'Crash' has an uncanny knack of being at the right place at the right time, especially where his Erith photos are concerned. For a place which had its heart and soul ripped out many years ago, this is no mean achievement and one to be applauded.

His other photos are good, too!"
