I'm Craig Legg, bookseller, artist and ex-poet. I lived in Austin from 1977-87 and began taking point & shoot snaps with mediocre cameras solely for the purpose of documentation. The quality of my photos won't impress. Many are overexposed, underexposed, washed out. However, the advent of computerized photo-enhancement has graciously allowed me to crop and edit, making (hopefully) the photos posted here of interest. Feel free to comment, or to contact me.
In 1987 I moved to Birmingham, AL, and continued documenting the poetry/music/art scene. I even took a few photography classes, upgraded my camera and halfway learned to operate it. Hopefully my snaps have gotten a little better. In coming months I'll be posting pictures taken over the past twenty years, so stay tuned.
