I am an Austrlian male who enjoys the outdoor life and practical challenges. I enjoy boating, travel and caravaning but as well enjoy dabbling in gardening, art and photography. I am an avid wooden boat enthusiast and as such enjoy collecting, restoring and generally mucking about in wooden boats.

For employment I started life as a plumber and after 20 years of managing my own business decided to get into the education side of the trade. To do so I joined TAFE in SA and taught in the Plumbing Trade School. Whilst there I successfully completed a Dip Teach and went on to gain a B Ed. During these studies I became a computing enthusiast and kept seeking solutions to using computers for education and found that it can be a motivator for learning.

This has led to me being a successful educational technologist in the TAFE sector in Australia having completed many successful Australian Flexible Learning Framework Projects. A special highlight of my career has been to recently receive a Global Learning Impact Leadership Award from IMS for my work in mobile devices and the IMS QTI standards.
