I got my first camera as a prize for a reading contest in Kindergarten and my love of photography and reading have been intertwined ever since.
My favorite subjects are dogs - and dogs with their people. I also enjoy macro and landscape photography as well as setting up still life shoots in the studio. OK, I like to shoot anything :-) I seem to have a natural eye for composition, but would like to develop my more creative and inventive side as well as the technical quality of my photography.
I shoot with Canon digital gear (5D and 50D) and use the Minolta X-700 and Canon Elan for film work. I have dabbled in medium format. I LOVE my digital SLR, but still like to play in the darkroom and I am working to improve my skills in this area.
What I really enjoy most is sharing with others and helping them to develop their own special set of skills for what ever they're interested in.
