Light paintings - naturally illuminated scenes supplemented with dynamic movements of artificial light ‐ allow me to combine my love of photography and nature with my creativity. By using long exposures and moving lights, the camera can capture images of light trails and motion that could otherwise not be seen. These images are “painted” inside the camera, not with post-photo processing. My favorite tool for creating these light paintings is a flashlight, or light pen. It lets me express myself by moving my whole arm or body around, never knowing what I’ve achieved until afterward. By taking many pictures of the same subject using different light movements in each image, I can explore a variety of ideas.

I also shoot pictures for nightclubs and bars.
There is one underlying reason that people go to bars, and that’s to drink. Whether its to shake off a day’s worth of work, catch up with friends or meet new ones, to check out a band, or to feed the juke box, bars act as venues for patrons to socialize while enjoying their favorite spirits.
