I focus my photography on the natural world. The diversity in nature offers boundless opportunities for fresh images. I approach my subjects with an artistic eye looking to go beyond the documentary image to show a unique perspective.

I'm a published author and my photos have been used in magazines, books, newspapers, calendars, brochures and catalogs. My prints are seen in exhibits as well as in private collections.

I have a passion for teaching photography. I give lectures, leads workshops and provides private instruction for those looking to focus their learning. In particular, I enjoy working with clients in the field, so they may learn to improve their images as they create them. My instruction enables photographers to improve their photographs technically and artistically.

I am recognized as a Lensbaby Guru, as well a member of the American Society of Media Photographers (ASMP) and the North American Nature Photography Association (NANPA).
