Thanks for taking the time to visit my profile. I appreciate your interest. I am an old timer with a full career behind me in the military. Retired after 22 years in the US Marines and Air Force. After that I worked at various things including Intelligence. I went with the Department of Treasury and spent another caree with US Customs on the border and as a Station Chief. I've really retired several times.
I want to make a special connection with two lying pieces of human garbage that claim to be Internal Affairs Officers with the San Diego Police Department. I was able to prove they were liars. So if you ever encounter alleged officers Cavanaugh and Odaniell, please contact the San Diego PD. Actually they were sorta cute and we suspect they were gay guys trying to infiltrate the straight groups we have here.
PLEASE post your pictures again..we love to make them a target of national concern. Cavanaugh you have such pretty hair..kissypooh.
States and Countries I've lived in or spent significant time in.
New York Pennsylvania Georgia Alabama
Illinois Indiana Nebraska Kansas
Arizona Wyoming Montana Texas
Wash DC Michigan Georgia Oklahoma
Guam
France Germany England India
Bermuda
Been around the world twice walked on 6 continents and missed one by 12 hours and 6 hundred miles. Hundreds of countries LOVED it and took so few picks I am still kicking myself.
Before we start I want to give a vision of myself. The following sentiment is mine and mine alone It goes like this : A moment of time in your life , is a life time of memories for a child . SHARE
University trained in Criminal Justice as well as Social/Psychology. Several degrees in all the above Plus a degree in Earth Sciences (Meteorology). Graduate of Air University ( Alabama )1975 Community College of the Air Force, San Antonio, Texas, University Of Nebraska, Air Force Meteorology School, AFOSI Institute Washington DC,
Air Force Leadership Management School, Air Force Training School, Montgomery Alabama, FLETC Federal Law Enforcement Training Center X 3, Glynco Georgia, University of Oklahoma, New Mexico Highway Patrol Academy, Sante Fe, NM, BNDD school ( Now DEA). Some others but..well you get the idea.
I am of Native American blood as well as English, Irish and Scottish. While I love to know the lineage I am an American through and through. I have taken an oath to support and defend the constitution of the United States against all enemies both foreigh ad domestic. I take that oath to heart and hate it that there are those that criticize us while enjoying the fruits of my labors.
Point blank..if you are unhappy in Aamerica..get the Fu*k out.
Most of all I am surprised and pleased at the number of wonderful people I have met through this medium. I AM PROUD to call so many people "friend". If you want to know the calibre of these people l just look at a few such as Conners, ansletadams, boots, buckfever, mike taddeo and ras the cop. Only a few but you will see what I mean.
Active while being Retired. Military background A short stint in the U.S. Marines and a career finish from the US Air Force retiring with just over 22 years of service. Federal Special Agent, Criminal Law Enforcement, Highway Patrol Officer, Deputy Sheriff and US Customs/Immigrations Senior Inspector. Love to shoot, reload my own ammo, do leather work, Member of SASS, Golf all summer, bowl all winter, read, some writing, dog walking (I've a golden retriever), Play on 'puter..whew..I'm tired just thinking of it all Oh....and YES..I love good food (I do lots of cooking) For a brief period of stupidity I actually owned several restaurants. One featuring a full menue of Italian cuisine and even a Pizzeria. I like fine wines and enjoy 2 greath Rothchild Cigars a day. Oh, just for the record I adore a good single malt scotch and ice. Well a blend like Chivas Regal isn't all that bad. Oh hell, buy me a shot of Glen Livet and we're square.
I am a hacker at photography. I have neither the time nor talent to persue "great" pictures. I love to take photos for my personal enjoyment and know even less about presentation or editing. Having said all that I do KNOW good photography and great shots when I see them.
Being a cop and Law enforcement Agent all my life I have had little time to do the things I wished to do but now I can appreciate all the more things that others do.
To me a photograph is a record of history, a special moment in time. It serves to remind you of something special. Sharing it is only a small part of it. Take the time to make sure it is what you wish for others to see for it is part of you.
A very spoecial note to those that take the time to research my profile: Some come here just to learn more or pure curiosity but there are some looking for other less productive reasons. For those, let me give you a stern warning: Screw with me on a verbal plain or a physical plain and you bought more than you can handle. I may be old but certainly not harmless To the baker beware, the ingredients are harmless untill blended.
Enough. JD the Cop SEMPER FI BROTHERS
If you are or were a police officer, thanks brother. I'm glad you are here.

"JD spent a career in service to others and now is finally enjoying what the rest of the world does. Although he is now retired; once a badge toter, always a badge toter, once a brother always a brother. Always kind enough to leave well thought out comments and like most LEO's I know, likes to cut right to the chase. I'm glad to call him friend."

"JD is one of a kind. He is hard as nails, yet soft as putty. He's my kind of cop, my kind of friend, my kind of buddy. although we live thousands of miles apart, have never met and have only known each other a relatively short time, it's as if we have known each other all our lives. He's my friend, my brother. God bless ya, JD!"

"I enjoy copsunited1's photos. They show the wonderful personality of a soldier, a patriot, a family man, a lover of animals, especially dogs,
cooking, and the beauty in nature and mankind. This goes to prove
that not all cops are bad!! If I should get pulled over, I'd rather it be from Mr. copsunited1. You will enjoy his wit and his humor as well
as his warmth that radiates in his photos!"24th January, 2009
