Hi. I am glad you stopped by my little corner of the world. First and foremost, I am a dollmaker. Sometimes I like to make collectable dolls, and at other times, I like to make Waldorf dolls.
It could be said that this dichotomy deals with both sides of my dollmaking spirit. However, as of late, I am leaning more and more towards Waldorf dollmaking. The idea of making a small child happy makes me feel extremely satisfied. More so, than making collectable dolls. I think it has to do with the fact that I am now a mommy.
However, it is not to say that I will stop altogether making collectable dolls. I think every now and then a little monster or creepy thought will manifest itself as a doll.
The tradition of Waldorf (Steiner) dolls is my favorite avenue to express my more nurturing side. Like other Waldorf dollmakers I strive to use clean carded wool and organic cotton and the finest yarns. I hand embroider the doll's little eyes and mouth and sometimes I will embroider their hair too. I love this style of dollmaking. It is my fondest hope that with each doll, I can bring some small bit of happiness in this world.
Thanks for your support.
