The 2007 International Congress at Copan was held on June 14 - 16, 2007. It featured over eighteen experts from all over the world lecturing on the Ancient Maya. These lectures were presented in Copan, Honduras, 1 km. from the ancient ruins of Copan. The site attracts 160,000 visitors from around the world annually and the Congress attracted more than 500 attendees. The next International Congress is tentatively scheduled for June, 2009. Copan Association has always participated as one of the hosts of these important conferences.
