I am new to dSLR cameras and still learning. I realize my photos are way behind some of the photos of other people on Flickr, but I try to take different perspectives and do minimal image editing (contrast/color adjustment and crop).

I own a Nikon D60 with 18-200mm lens combination. I love taking lots of pictures when the opportunity arises, but I am busy with work and soccer and there are few opportunities to go out and shoot hundreds of pictures.

Any comments, hints, and critiques are welcome as I'd like to learn how to be a better photographer so that I can better enjoy my photos. So please feel free to write what I did well AND what I did not do well or I could do better. Posting a comment on my stream will likely prompt me to browse through yours and comment on your photos.

Also, everything I shoot is by hand, no tripod. I will add in the description of a picture if I've used a tripod. I try to make it as natural as it can be - no tripod, no remote control, no external flash units. I challenge myself to get the best out of the camera itself. My long exposure waterfalls are by hand, and that is why I am really limited to at longest about 1 second shutter speed, usually 1/2 - 1/5 shutter speed.

Have fun out there!
