Cookie Cure party favors are a tasty, socially conscious way to celebrate your special event. A portion of our profits go toward research for uterine cancer and Scleroderma because we believe giving back to the world is the sweetest treat of all.
The dynamic duo of Chef Kathleen and Chef Carol is one of laughter, creativity and enough “Lost” theories to make your head spin.
The two pastry chefs met while attending the Le Cordon Bleu patisserie and baking program at California School of Culinary Arts in Pasadena, Calif. They spent nights and weekends rolling dough, cracking jokes and devising grand plans to one day using their baking skills to get them out of student loan debt.
After classes ended, Carol went off to work for Wolfgang Puck Catering and Craft, the famed restaurant of Top Chef producer Tom Colicchio. Kathleen headed to the historic Beverly Hills Hotel's pastry kitchen and later Wolfgang Puck Catering. After months of mousses, cakes and the like, the two opted to go into business for themselves making something daringly different – a sugar cookie with a soul.
Not the average cookie-cutter bakers, the two found it ironic that they would use the tin forms to create a spectacular company with a conscious as well as a great tasting cookie.
The designated charities for the company represent life-changing events in each chef's life - Kathleen's mother died of Scleroderma; Carol's mother died from uterine cancer. The two ladies were never ones to let adversity stop them from achieving their dreams, so they flipped tragedy into hope. And hope is the Cookie Cure.
