Stay at home mom who discovered sewing and blogging a couple of years ago and hasn't looked back since! Favourite colours are pinks, blues, purples, turquoises, maybe a little bit of red. Least fave are orange, yellow & brown. I like bright, clear colours, nothing muted or sludgy, but I do like softer shades too. I like modern, funky fabrics - faves are prints charming, tanya whelan, riley blake. I like florals, birds, trees, batiks, embroidery, applique, not so keen on cutesy animals, buttons or yo-yo's. Re quilt designs, I'm not so keen on traditional quilting patterns, preferring something a bit more contemporary, scrappy log cabins, appliqued pictures, embroidered motifs etc
For the Doll Quilt Swap I wrote an alphabet of my quilting likes/dislikes on my blog at contented.typepad.co.uk/contented/2010/06/an-alphabet-of-... you can use this for the Mug Rug Swap too! I have made an inspiration mosaic, and also a gallery of my favourite mug rugs so far.
Re swap extras, I always love to receive sewing supplies, fabric, ribbon, thread etc, craft magazines or anything handmade
I have no allergies, drink tea, (not coffee) and I love chocolate and lavender (but not together!)
Edit: For the Holiday mug rug swap I have made a Christmas themed mosaic, and I have a gallery too with some of my favourite christmas fabrics. Its pretty obvious that my fave Christmas colours are red, green, white and aqua, and some of my fave motifs are trees, houses, stars, snowflakes...
