Jeffrey Girard, the founder and president of The Concrete Countertop Institute, has been a leader of innovation in concrete countertops since 1998. Jeffrey is the industry pioneer of engineered concrete countertops and has over seventeen years experience with cutting-edge civil engineering.

Girard’s mission is to raise the standard for concrete countertops through quality guidelines, industry best practices, and comprehensive education. To accomplish this goal, The Concrete Countertop Institute was established in early 2004. Through The Concrete Countertop Institute’s training programs, Girard provides intensive training to meet the growing demand for quality design, engineering, and installation in residential and commercial applications.

Girard then developed the Concrete Connections Web site, an informational resource for consumers and industry professionals designed to grow the concrete countertop industry. Concrete Connections offers a membership program with benefits that include industry networking opportunities and discussion groups.

Committed to serving the industry as a whole, Girard established the Concrete Countertop Industry Conference in 2006, an annual conference that provides contractors with the latest information and innovations from industry experts, tool suppliers, and manufacturers.

Girard is an active member in the American Society of Civil Engineers and the American Concrete Institute. Girard is a licensed, professional civil engineer with a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Massachusetts.
