"Where to start? Since I can't think of any words to really describe how good this lady's photographs are, maybe I'll just tell you why I like them so much.
There is an essential quality in each of the best pictures. As if the subject or object in front of the lens, in front of her eye, is being reduced to its essence. Or at least having its essence laid bare to be photographed.
I would also bet that this lady has an interest in the east, maybe Japan?? - as her eye sees things and style presents things in a way that feels like the Japanese sort of aesthetic. The perfection of things; the miniature; seeing ever more detail in the details.
Its a rare quality to have an eye and a talent to provide a window on the world like this lady does. Artist to artist I must say that I thank you for the pleasure of being be able to enjoy such excellent photographs from the comfort of my own little world this side of the screen. :-)"4th July, 2007
