I use a Nikon D3 and Nikon D2X for making photographs, with the following lenses:

Nikkor 50mm f/1.4 AF-N
Nikkor 105mm f/2D AF DC
Sigma 70-200mm f/2.8 EX DG HSM APO
Tamron 17-35mm f/2.8-4 Di SP AF

I use Nikon's Creative Lighting System: 3x SB600 and 1x SB800.

I also use the Cokin filter system, mostly for the ability to manage multiple ND filters.

Since my move to full-frame, I am selling some gear, notably:

Sigma 28-300mm f/3.5-6.3 DG AF (not DX, just not used)
Sigma 10-20mm f/4-5.6 EX DC HSM

Gear I've owned in the past:
Nikon D200
Nikon D70
Tamron 17-50mm f/2.8
Sigma 50-150mm f/2.8 EX DC HSM APO
Nikkor 105mm f/1.8 AIS
Nikkor 80-200mm f/2.8 AF
Nikkor 35-135mm f/3.5-4.5
Nikkor 50mm f/1.8
Nikkor 18-70mm f/3.5-4.5G ED-IF AF-S DX

    joelf says:

"Back in the days before television, when popular heroes were explorers trained in natural history like Alexander Humboldt and Louis Agassiz, people studied plants and animals for fun and edification. Andrew Alexander in the 1860's was a judge on the New York Supreme Court, and he and his fellow attorneys and other professionals banded together to create the Buffalo Society of Natural Sciences. Andrew exchanged plant specimens with many other botanists around the world, and Andrew is now the 129th oldest institutional plant collector in the world."
