More or less self taught, except for some helpful advice from more experienced friends (Anita McGary, you rock my socks off) started mostly with wildlife, being an ecologist, got more into still life and portrait these days, worked briefly for Impact Portraits studio in Sligo (since gone bust, not my fault!) Love BW stuff, learning all the time, all comments and suggestions welcome. Technical crap below

Time for some shameless self promotion!
I have just released my first proper photography book onto the interweb. It is focused on wild life and includes shots from my various travels as an ecologist to places like Australia, the Caribbean and even exotic North Wales!
Any of of you who have more money than sense and feel like buying yourself or a friend something nice, go right ahead, here's the link:

Any money i do get from this book will go directly to help fund more field research. I am hoping to spend a bit of time on tropical islands chasing birds

Another book! My long threatened second book has now been let loose on an unsuspecting internet. It's called simply "Black and White" and (you guessed it) is a collection of BW film photography in a big crazy mixed bag from my various adventures.
