I love creating anything - food, art, a well-written essay or poem, even just taking a good photograph. I love that sense of ownership and accomplishment, and I like momentarily escaping from the mass-produced everything world we live in by creating something unique.

I divide my time between many pursuits. I love working out in the ceramics studio I share with my incredibly talented boyfriend and partner (see www.jessehull.com ) - I work primarily in porcelain, and really enjoy playing with colors. I have recently expanded my interest in clay from purely ceramic to polymer clay - and I'm enjoying finding inspiration on Flickr!

I also like to spend my time making yarn with my five spinning wheels, my four angora rabbits, and my extensive stash of fibers. I knit, crochet, and experiment in other fiber arts like felting, too.

I love nature, and exploring it with a child-like sense of wonder.

Natural dyeing is a natural outgrowth of my interest in exploring the beautiful outdoor surroundings that I am fortunate to be immersed in, combined with my love of fiber and learning.

My dream is to open an amazing arts center that teaches art classes in a very wide range of subjects to both adults and children, hosts workshops by talented national artists, and has a gallery space for artists and students to display and sell their work.
